ReefBot for your freshwater aquarium and pond
CategoriesUncategorized
After the massive success ReefBot has accomplished in testing saltwater water parameters, we decided at Reef kinetics to share this experience with the owners of freshwater tanks. Yes, you heard that, ReefBot is now capable of running tests to measure the water parameters of your freshwater tank and ponds. Now, the freshwater tanks ‘owners can enjoy a tank – life balance by automating their water parameter testing. Simply add the reagents to your ReefBot and insert its tube in the tank, and let the ReefBot do the rest while you enjoy a vacation in a far away place.
As we know, the most important water parameters to look after in a freshwater aquarium are as follow: temperature, pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, alkalinity, and general hardness. The acceptable range levels of these parameters vary depending on the different types of freshwater aquariums. Our ReefBot is now capable of measuring four parameters: pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and soon it will be able to measure alkalinity and general hardness! the reagents used by the ReefBot are ensured to be available at the market at all time, so you don’t have to worry about looking for alternatives.
The automated test results will be as accurate as the manual testing. You only need to place the reagents in the glass vials, immerse the inlet tube in the tank, and let the ReefBot do the rest of the work. However, we would like to warn you about some confusion that might happen when using the reagents supported by the ReefBot. on our ReefBot website https://www.reefkinetics.com/, you will notice that the ReefBot can test for several water parameters. The reagents classified under the saltwater category are to be used only for saltwater tanks; in case they are used for the freshwater tanks, the results will not only be inaccurate, but they won’t make sense. The same goes for the reagents classified under the freshwater category; they should not be used for saltwater tanks.
If you have a pond, the ReefBot is also capable of measuring its water parameter! The procedure to do so remains the same. The reagents used to test its water parameters are the same for the freshwater tanks. Users can always check the supported freshwater test kits on our website for newly added brands.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. We’d love to hear from you!
