Bought a used ReefBot? If it’s still linked to the previous owner’s account, it needs to be unlinked before you can register it. Start here.

First — can you contact the previous owner?

Free option — ask the previous owner to remove it

Ask the previous owner to open the ReefBot app and sign in to their account.

Go to Devices, select the ReefBot, and choose Remove / Unlink device.

Once removed, open your own app account and add the device normally. Done — no charge.

Prefer us to handle it, or want a check-up on an older unit? Our Transfer & Activation service also includes 30 days of priority support and a firmware/health check — useful for units that are several years old.
