Reef Kinetics is in public Beta until 31 December 2026. Beta members get every paid feature at no cost for the whole period, with no card on file, in exchange for telling us what breaks and what is missing. The plans below are what things will cost once Beta ends.
You get: every Reef+ feature unlocked — ICP interpretation, photo diagnostics, the full assistant, three tanks — free until Beta ends.
We get: your bug reports, and five minutes of survey at day 30.
Stay active through Beta and you become a Founding Reefer, which adds 12 months of Reef+ after launch and locks your price for as long as you keep the plan.

What Beta means
Beta means the software is genuinely in progress. Things will change under you, and occasionally something will break. Here is exactly what that does and does not put at risk.
Every reading is backed up and exportable to CSV at any moment, Beta or not. If you decide to leave, your history leaves with you.
Beta takes no payment details, so nothing can renew, lapse or charge by accident. There is no invoice waiting at the end of this.
Screens get redrawn and features change shape while we learn what works. Tell us when something gets worse and we will hear it.

Twelve months of Reef+ starts the day Beta closes, at no cost and with nothing to claim.
No charge and nothing to cancel, because no card was ever taken. Every tank stays visible and exportable.
If a paid plan is worth it by then, you will have had months of evidence either way.
Logging, full history and CSV export are free on every plan permanently, and that includes every reading your ReefBot produces. If a paid plan lapses, every tank you have stays visible, readable and exportable, exactly as before. Adding a new one is the only thing that waits for an upgrade.
No. Most people using it test by hand with Salifert, Red Sea, API or Hanna kits and log the results. The app interprets readings regardless of where they came from — your hand, an ICP lab, or a device.
Beta costs nothing and takes no card. When it ends you get 30 days' notice, Founding Reefers receive 12 months of Reef+ automatically, and everyone else moves to the Free plan. There is no charge and nothing to cancel, because no payment details were ever collected.
Use the app on a real tank, report problems through the in-app feedback button when you hit them, and answer one five-minute survey at day 30. That is the whole bar.
No. Beta is free for everyone, so spending your device perk during it would waste it. Your 12 months of Reef+ starts when Beta closes, stacked on top of any Founding Reefer months you have earned.
No. dashboard.reefkinetics.com keeps running exactly as it does today. The app is somewhere to try alongside it. Nothing about your device or account changes by signing up here.
Yes, as CSV, on every plan including Free, at any time. Your measurements are yours, and an app worth trusting with a reef hands them back on request.
